By signing up for any shift, you (“Volunteer”) agree to the following terms for the dates November 13–15, 2025 in Montclair, NJ:

1) Code of Conduct
• I will treat performers, guests, venue staff, and fellow volunteers with respect. Harassment or discrimination of any kind is prohibited.
• I will follow the directions of the Front-of-House (FOH) Lead and Festival Management.
• I will not consume alcohol or be impaired while on shift.

2) Safety & Venue Rules
• I will follow venue emergency procedures and keep exits/egress clear.
• I will report hazards, incidents, or injuries immediately to the FOH Lead.
• I will wear my credential and, if provided, my volunteer shirt while on duty.

3) Health
• I will not volunteer if I have a fever, contagious illness, or symptoms that could put others at risk.
• I will practice good hygiene and comply with any posted health policies.

4) Liability Waiver
• I understand volunteer activities may involve typical event risks (crowds, noise, lifting up to ~25 lbs, moving equipment, weather exposure during line management, etc.).
• I assume all ordinary risks associated with my volunteer duties and release and hold harmless Montclair Comedy Festival, its officers, employees, contractors, venues, and partners from claims arising from ordinary negligence.
• This waiver does not release claims due to gross negligence, willful or wanton misconduct.

5) Media Release
• I grant the Festival permission to photograph/record me during volunteer activities and to use my likeness for documentation and promotional purposes in any media, without compensation.
• If I am assigned to photography/content roles, I agree to follow the Festival’s media and phone policies and any restrictions from performers or venue.

6) Confidentiality & Tickets
• I will not share private artist information, guest lists, or credentials.
• I will not sell or misuse complimentary tickets or credentials.

7) Minors
• Volunteers must meet the minimum age listed per role. Volunteers under 18 require parent/guardian consent. Some venues are 21+; IDs may be checked by venues.

8) At-Will Service
• My volunteer service is at will and may be ended by the Festival at any time. The Festival may reassign or cancel shifts due to operational needs.
